Way too fast!
On the contrary, most performances of this are way too slow. This is an excellent tempo. If you just count the three beats of each bar to yourself and imagine some other minuet at that tempo, you will see that it's not too fast at all. Because this tune has become so hackneyed and played by every Tom Dick and Harry, there are a lot of bad performances out there. These folks are playing it very well.

A minuet should be around 108-132 bpm. This is right at 116. Go listen to some other minuets - y'all are just accustomed to this being played painfully slowly.
You are absolutely right.
Can anyone explain why it says it is in E major but it is A major in my book. So beautifully played though. Always loved this piece and playing it fast sounds ok to me. You can always slow it down in the settings.
In case, you still need an answer... It's because the piece itself is in E major (1st mvt is always in that key as indicated, usually last one aswell), but other mvt-s can and most of the time have different keys (in this case A major as u mentioned)

Good to see people read the comments and reply when they can. So this is the 3rd movement? I did not read the name correctly. I will now have to look for the 1st (and 2nd). Also I note that some of it is in the key of D, eg the part ending at 2.30. It is a really nice piece of music and I have listened to many clips of the same and find them all good, fast or slow. Happy listening.
